Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health, UCSD

Dr. Job Godino serves as Scientific Director of Laura Rodriguez Research Institute, Family Health Centers of San Diego. He is currently a core faculty member of the Center for Wireless and Population Health Systems and serves as the Director of the Exercise and Physical Activity Resource Center, both of which are based in the California Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technology’s Qualcomm Institute. The majority of Dr. Godino’s research focuses on the development, conduct, and evaluation of complex interventions that utilize mobile and wearable technology (e.g., smartphones, accelerometers, and heart rate monitors) to promote healthy changes in physical activity, sedentary behavior, diet, and sleep for the primary and secondary prevention of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. He is also actively engaged in developing and evaluating on- and off-body sensors that measure various components of human physiology and behavior.
