The Advancing Health Literacy (AHL) program is happy to announce that 12 grantees have been awarded funding for their health literacy projects:

The AHL program will be working alongside and supporting local community-based organizations and health centers in San Diego as they develop their projects during the grant period. Many of these projects focus on nutrition, physical health, and overall well-being. The projects will positively impact wellbeing, COVID-19 resilience, and health literacy. Some of the target populations include refugee and immigrant populations, the homeless population in South Bay San Diego, and community residents in City Heights and Southeast San Diego.

This project is funded by the Office of Minority Health/OASH/HHS and is made possible through the support of the City of Chula Vista. We are grateful to our partners and steering committee members that provide valuable support to further the goals of the AHL program. We also greatly appreciate the support of the AHL Coalition. If you would like to become a coalition member and support our efforts, please fill out our coalition interest from in English or in Spanish.
