Tessa Cruz is the Coordinator of Outreach at the Social Innovation and Universal Opportunity Lab—a joint research lab that pioneers innovative Health Information Communication Technologies, GIS, and Participatory technology approaches to studying the social, behavioral, and biological determinants of health in vulnerable populations. In addition, Cruz Directs Engagement and Design at Streetwyze a mobile, mapping, and SMS engagement platform. Cruz has over 6 years of experience, developing and implementing community-facing geospatial technology platforms, such as Streetwyze, which uses the power of local knowledge to help underrepresented and vulnerable populations find, rank, and share critical resources, visualize important issues in the neighborhood and mobilize around solutions.
