Joyce grew up in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and currently considers Lemon Grove, her home community. As the President of Thrive Lemon Grove, she leads six initiatives aimed at empowering locals through resource-sharing and community organizing.
How do they partner with CCH?
Joyce serves as a Community Council member for the San Diego County Childhood Obesity Initiative (COI). She is passionate about community work and thrives on connecting with diverse individuals and advocating for social equity, particularly in underserved areas. Her work focuses on projects that empower the community to cultivate their own food sources, like gardening initiatives and as a COI Community Council member she collaborates in community organizing efforts to disseminate valuable information that supports families.
