Parsa Naghshineh (he/him) is a student research assistant working on the Urban Food Equity team for the 2024-2025 UC San Diego Student Food Security Research Study. Parsa’s role focuses on creative development, producing communication tools to promote food security interventions and designing engaging materials for public health campaigns.

Parsa is a fourth year undergraduate student at UC San Diego majoring Public Health with a Concentration in Epidemiology and double minors in Political Science and Biology. He has actively served for two years as a board member of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) at UC San Diego, where he is the Publicity Chair. His role aids in creating outreach for students on the pre-medical track. With his experience in AMSA, Parsa has volunteered for over three years in downtown San Diego in tandem with First Saturday to assist houseless individuals by organizing care packages. Parsa has also served as the Publicity Chair for the Chula Vista Health Fair for over three years, where he assists in educating low-income and underserved communities in San Diego about health related issues and provides essential, free medical services and educational resources. Moreover, Parsa also works as a student intern in a psychiatry lab at UC San Diego, exploring the pharmacological agents of addiction-related behaviors on the brain.

Parsa joined the Center for Community Health in 2025.
