Urban Food Environments staff Elle Mari and Kate Mahoney received an award in Economic Development from the San Diego Chapter of the American Planning Association on May 17th for a market makeover and community gathering space project completed at African Caribbean Market in City Heights as part of the Live Well Community Market Program. Elle Mari and Blanca Melendrez attended the award ceremony in Coronado alongside an impressive group of local awardees and nominees contributing to better spaces, places, and mobility in San Diego County.
