We’re assisting local farmers and fisherfolk in making locally-grown and caught good food available to more low-income households in San Diego County, particularly for communities of color.
We offer technical assistance and training to farmers and fisherfolk that wish to expand their customer reach by accepting CalFresh EBT as payment. We can help you apply to become authorized to accept EBT, develop an outreach strategy to reach more low-income and diverse customers, and assist in building visibility for your farm or fish business as a local and affordable good food resource.
We prioritize offering assistance to businesses owned and operated by people of color and/or women to address equity in our local food system.
