Shana Wright, our Director of the Childhood Obesity Initiative (COI), Liliana Osorio, COI’s Program Manager, and Rocina Lizarraga, a Tri-Chair of COI’s Community Council, attended the Live Well Advance Conference & Schools Summit event back in November. Shana, Liliana, and Rocina presented at a breakout session called Centering Community Voice: Reimagining Traditional Approaches – to highlight the importance of collaboration between community partners on collective impact. The concept of Collective Impact, which places an emphasis on designing and implementing initiatives with an equity lens and actively involving community members as collaborators, is a model our Center champions to establish trust, respect, and mutually beneficial relationships with our partners.
