Breastfeeding-Friendly San Diego Partner Highlight

Ms. Araceli Aguilar, an experienced child care provider started Little Dancing Hands Childcare in 2012. For the past six years Ms. Aguilar has been committed to providing
the highest quality care to the families she works with. A unique aspect of Little Dancing Hands is that they teach the young children English, Spanish, and baby sign language through interactive learning activities. Ms. Aguilar makes learning fun by incorporating learning time with playtime. The children can learn and express themselves through music, singing, dancing, writing, arts and crafts. Ms. Aguilar is currently in the YMCA Child Care Initiative Project (CCHI) program and participates in The Ages Stages Questionnaire. She is enthusiastic about learning and finding new programs that will improve her daycare, so when she heard about Breastfeeding-Friendly San Diego she knew she wanted to be apart of it. She wants parents to learn that breastfeeding is a great way to bond with their baby and have their baby thrive. Most importantly, Ms. Aguilar values her relationships with the families and wants to support all their breastfeeding choices. Her involvement with Breastfeeding- Friendly San Diego makes her feel like she is doing something great for the next generation and would highly encourage other providers to participate!

Ms. Aguilar’s passion for childcare has made it an honor to recognize her as a Breastfeeding Friendly San Diego partner!
