Lainey Bloom (she/her) is Program Coordinator for Growing Equity on the Urban Food Equity team. In this role, Lainey supports outreach, evaluation, and technical assistance to urban farmer participants. She is also a 2025-2026 Sustainable Agriculture and Food Fellow in the UC President’s Bonnie Reiss Leading on Climate Fellowship and pursuing a Master of Advanced Studies in Climate Science and Policy at UC San Diego. Lainey will complete capstone research on urban agriculture in San Diego. She is very passionate about advancing food justice and building community resilience through urban agriculture.
Prior to UC San Diego, Lainey earned a BA in Environmental Studies at UC Santa Barbara and previously served as a CivicSpark Fellow with the City of La Mesa supporting Climate Action Plan implementation and community outreach.
Lainey joined the Center for Community Health in 2025.
