Rain Lins (they/she/he) is a Program Coordinator working on the Urban Food Equity team for the Growing Equity Program. Rain’s role includes supporting the launch and implementation of Growing Equity to serve disadvantaged urban farmers in the region with funding, technical assistance, outreach and promotion strategies.

Rain is a fourth year undergraduate student at UC San Diego (UCSD) majoring in Urban Studies and Planning. They also serve as a fellow in the 2024-2025 UCSD cohort of the UC President’s Bonnie Reiss Leading on Climate Fellowship. Rain has a passion for food and climate justice, and they are completing a capstone research project on sustained land access for urban agriculture as a means to promote community food sovereignty. Rain has been involved in numerous climate-focused projects and organizations while at UCSD, including the Student Sustainability Collective and Green New Deal.

Rain joined the Center for Community Health in 2024.
