About Share the Care
The Dental Health Initiative/Share the Care (STC) is a contracted program of the County of San Diego Health and Human Services. Share the Care was established in 1994 as a public-private partnership between the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, the San Diego County Dental and Dental Hygienists’ Societies, and the San Diego County Oral Health Coalition. Despite changes in the specific scope of work throughout the years, STC has continued to provide oral health prevention and resources to communities most in need of these services.
